Mann Mondays

Did you know that we pay homage to David every Monday? Well, we do by using fellow artists tributes and centerfolds from old Easyriders Magazine. David's art influenced many, and we are honored to play a small role in keeping his memory and artwork alive today! Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook and tag #chopperfest if you would like us to showcase your tribute piece like Darren did below.

Today's #mannmonday comes from one of the best in the business Darren McKeag / McKeag Art. Here's Darren's interpretation of David Mann's "Show Off." What a beautiful tribute!

We love Darren McKeag!

We could watch Darren McKeag's videos all day long. Keep up the great work @mckeagart! Are you creating artwork for the show? Be sure to tag #chopperfest so we can share your work. 👍 #repost @mckeagart - Adding the tiniest of cemetery details can be difficult at times... but it's these little details that make the entire piece come to life... #mckeagart #theartofdarrenmckeag #darrenmckeagart #iowaartist

Art by Darren McKeag

"Growing up through the late 60's, 70's I would spend time on and around my Dad's motorbikes. Specifically riding on his Panhead tanks and often in the sidecar. Images of David Mann's art was always around, in the magazines, on the walls of Dad's garage or his buddies."

"I grew up around motorbikes and tattoos. As a result of this, after art college I painted motorbikes and then began tattooing. I opened Slingin' Ink Tattoos in 1994 and still own and operate it today. I spend my days tattooing at Ten Six Tattoo in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and my evenings painting motorbikes, fine art painting, pinstriping, sign painting and illustration. Almost all of my art is motorbike and hot rod related."

"I recently married my best friend Missy of two years. It's because of her my art has blossomed and become what it is." -Darren
