Meet Featured Builder Mondo Porras

Denver’s Choppers Mondo Porras, AKA the “Godfather of Choppers” has been building bikes since the start of Denver’s Choppers in 1967 in San Bernadino, California.

Mondo has been featured in books, magazines, and TV shows around the world. His list of awards and achievements speaks volumes and shows his unwavering dedication to his craft and the motorcycle community. His bikes have been featured on the cover of Easyriders Magazine 5 times. He was Easyriders Magazine Custom Bike Fabricator of the year in 2001, and Mondo was also in Dave Mann’s very last painting for Easyriders Magazine's 30th anniversary.

Mondo was featured on Discovery Channels' legendary Biker Build Off “Mondo vs. Indian Larry.” He has been honored in the Motorcycle Hall of Fame and was the first recipient of the first Dave Mann “Mann Kind” award. In addition, Mondo was Cycle Source Magazines Man of the Year Bike Builder in 2018.

Mondo would like to thank all of the people who have been a part of Denver’s Choppers over the last 55 years. None of this would have been possible without your love and support! Most of all, Mondo would like to thank the late Denver Mullins for always believing in him and being a mentor and best friend. Much Love and Respect.

Please swing by Mondo's booth during Chopperfest to check out his bikes and apparel. Mondo's booth is located on Main Street by the stage.
