2016 Chopper Fest Round-Up from Kiwi Mike

"One of our favorite events of the year is the Dave Mann Chopper Fest, a motorcycle art and culture happening. Every December at the County Fairgrounds in Ventura, CA, the biking faithful gather to bring out the coolest bikes, swap parts, and live the chopper lifestyle. Said founder Dave Hansen, “Chopperfest is forever dedicated to the design, function, and art of the motorcycle through those talented enough to create and those creative enough to appreciate talent.” As part of the bike show, Kiwi Indian is proud to offer a special “Ross Kiwi Tomas Award” commemorating our son. The winner this time was Mike Klingerman’s 1946 Indian Chief. Enjoy these pictures and mark your calendar for Chopper Fest 2017." -Mike Tomas

Thanks for the support Mike! We'll definitely see you next year!

Show recap from Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys

Moto Lady's own Alicia Mariah Elfving created a sweet post about the Chopper Fest on Russ Brown's blog.

"One of the coolest things about Choppers is their historic relevance to the motorcycle community. The wild chopped, bobbed, and stretched style of the chopper exploded in the 1960s, becoming the officially unofficial chariot of bad asses. They were shot into the lime light by celebrities and movies like Easy Riders, and made a permanent image associated with bikers by artists like David Mann in Easy Riders Magazine (and others). Giving people an opportunity to check out a snapshot of the biker lifestyle and chopper essence, Mann’s artwork is still inspiring artwork and custom motorcycles to this day. Keeping the old school chopper style alive, and evolving with the times.

That’s one of the main reasons Chopper Fest is such a rad event. You can see the whole progression of chopper style from back in the day through present day." Read more.

We appreciate Russ Brown's support over the years. If you ride you should carry their BAM card with you. It provides FREE emergency gas or part delivery, 24/7 roadside help, tools, tow assist and free legal advise when needed. Order your free BAM card today.
